  1. Navigate to IAM in the Amazon Console

  1. Under Access management select the user you created in a previous step

  1. Check the box next to the user and select Add permissions

  1. Click Attach policies directly

  1. Under Permissions policies, search for AmazonEC2ReadOnlyAccess.
    Check the box, hit Next.

  1. Click Add permissions
