🏁Quickstart: Run NetoFlow

Installing and running NetoFlow is part of the steps to Ingest NetFlow/sFlow via the NetoFlow Connector.

If you have a Docker host, you can run NetoFlow in only a few seconds.

1. Create a new API key in the Fusion Portal from the Settings > User Management > API Keys page using the role neto_flow and copy the netosecret value provided to you. Set this in the NETOSECRET environment variable on your Docker host.

2. Run this command on your Docker host:

docker run -e NETO__ENDPOINT__NETOSECRET="$NETOSECRET" \
  -p 2055:2055 -p 8080:8080 \
  --name netoflow \
  --platform linux/amd64 \
  public.ecr.aws/netography/netoflow:latest

3. You can now send NetFlow and sFlow to UDP port 2055 on your Docker host. Ensure there are no local firewalls that may be blocking this traffic. Once you are delivering flow records to the host, check they are being received and processed by reading the statistics from the NetoFlow API:

curl localhost:8080/api/v1/stats/rate
