Explanation

This NDM is designed to detect scanning for port 8888 that is hitting the customer’s network from the Internet. Port 8888 is used as an alternative HTTP port by many software products. It is also used by ManageEngine's AdSelfService Plus.

What to Look For

Scanning activity on the Internet is quite commonplace.
